Sculpture

My sculptures are based on a series of pencil, watercolor or ink drawings.

I’m interested in elements of nature responding to the deterioration of the observed environment. Once pieces are placed outdoors they are affected by their surroundings, climate change, and time. Material is inherent to the piece. Concrete and metal are used for durability providing strength when built on a large scale.

Paintings

Painting becomes an exercise of exploring techniques and color where black does not exist. “The luminosity of this process makes elements take a more natural and surreal sense.” I see this an unfinished aspect of my work and visual material that defines forms to work sculpture.

Ceramics

Ceramic guided me to explore other possibilities to work in 3 dimensions. As I did in the sculptures I used Iron sheets, recycled metal and wire for the construction of some pieces.

Drawings

Drawing is essential in my work. Sketches have been used to develop the idea and designs of the first models of the sculptures or for the ceramic works.
